Butterfly Nectar Food Plants

There will be a $1.00 surcharge on all Plant Orders to California.

What is a nectar plant? Why are they important?

Many species of butterflies drink flower nectar. Not all bright colorful flowers are nectar sources. Some flower species are used by some species of butterflies while other flower species are used by other butterflies. Flowers with a long throat are used by butterflies with a long proboscis. Short throat flowers can be used by butterflies with short proboscises.
